HELP FOR THE HOMELESS - 3/4/13-3/8/2013

Having only one week to bring in as many items as possible, the 3rd hour classrooms at Appleton East managed to gather over five hundred toiletry items for the homeless shelter.

TIE BLANKET PARTY - 02/17/2013

After seeing how much comfort a blanket gave her sick sister, a student from Appleton East created her own non-profit organization called, Operation: A Sister's Love. This has been the second time our Key Club has teamed up with this organization to make fleece tie blankets for children in hospitals.

DCON 2013 - 3/1/13-3/3/13

One of the most rewarding weekends of our lives, the WI-UM district convention for Key Club opened our eyes to many new possibilities and ideas on how to expand, strengthen, and improve our club.

Three days of leadership workshops and being surrounded by such enthusiastic and passionate Key Clubbers from all around the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan area has left us inspired and determined to make a difference.

We can't wait to go back next year and see what else this amazing weekend will hold.

SPRING FESTIVAL - 04/14/13

After an afternoon of fun and games for the entire family, our Key Club managed to earn over $218 to donate to SoleBurner.

SPRING

FESTIVAL

The Appleton East Key Club will soon be hosting a district-wide kickball tournament on May 18th. Half of the proceeds will go to the Eliminate Project and the other half will go to the charity of the winning team's choice. There may be five to ten players on one time and each player must sign a waiver in order to play.

Please deliver or mail all forms and waivers to Mrs. Loritz at 2121 Emmers Dr. Appleton, WI 54915. Write checks to Appleton East and Key Club in the memo. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us.

UPCOMING KICKBALL TOURNAMENT

Though the school year is quickly coming to a close, Key Club is still managing to squeeze in some last minute projects. A few upcoming things that we have going on:

Donuts for Oklahoma: Manderfield's Bakery has generously donated several dozens of donuts as did our sponsor the Grand Chute Kiwanis Club in order to sell them to students on May 30th, 2013. All proceeds will go to those impacted by the disaster this past week.

Finals Survival Kits: An idea we got from our weekend at DCON, little gift bags or kits were assembled that hold all you need for the upcoming week of finals. Purchased by parents in advance at school events, the students will receive their kits in homeroom on May 30th, 2013.
